Rumba (Media and Entertainment Award winner)
Joshua Tasia a.k.a.
Dr. Rumba, best described by the Evening Herald newspaper as a choreographer
and entertainment entrepreneur, has
become a household name as the single most contributing factor to Salsa dance
in Ireland, he is credited with developing Salsa dance as it is known today
in Ireland
Dr Rumba was once referred to as “Legendary” by a national newspaper, he founded Afrimania Cornerstone 1822 limited. In the last few years Afrimania has organized 6 International Irish Salsa Congress, backed with 70 dance weekends and thousands of classes. Dr Rumba has taught the single biggest dance class in Dublin with about 700 people.
Currently,
Tasia Joshua is the Director or the International Dance Academy in Dublin,
Afrimania Cornerstone Ltd and the host of the Irish Salsa Congress. Afrimania
is also working on the promotion of African Culture in Europe through festivals
and events hosted by the African section of the company. This section of Afrimania
soon became a company called the Festival of African Arts And Culture Limited
(FESTAAC).

*Hosted the first Salsa Congress in the British & Irish Congress scene,
that was featured on BBC television.
*In Launching the activity week in Ireland for the department of health Dr
Rumba taught the largest ever single dance class in Ireland for over 600people
in one class.
